It was slated to launch sometime in 2021 but was quietly delayed to 2022, with the publisher announcing in March that it would <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/house-of-the-dead-remake-coming-to-switch-in-april" target="_blank">release on April 7</a>.</p><p></p><p></p><p>The announcement of additional platforms comes as no surprise. <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/panzer-dragoon-remake-review" target="_blank">Panzer Dragoon: Remake</a>, which Forever Entertainment also published, <a href="https://www.ign.com/videos/panzer-dragoon-launch-trailer" target="_blank">launched first on Nintendo Switch</a> back in March of 2020, before releasing on PC, PS4, Amazon Luna, and Xbox One by the end of that year.</p><p></p><p></p><p>In <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/the-house-of-the-dead-remake-review" target="_blank">my review of The House of the Dead: Remake</a>, while I noted it was an enjoyable return to the classic arcade rail shooter, unfortunate technical issues and frustrating controls (mainly the use of gyro aiming) made it hard to recommend, especially to newcomers of the series.
