It’s got strong Mass Effect vibes, which you can see from the trailer, below.</p><p></p><p>At the Xbox Partner Preview showcase, Owlcat said The Expanse: Osiris Reborn will get a closed beta on April 22, and Microsoft confirmed it had picked up the game as a day one launch for Game Pass. The beta will run until the game’s launch in spring 2027.</p><p></p><p></p><p>The closed beta will be available on Xbox Series X and S, PC via Steam, and PlayStation 5 to everyone who buys the Collector’s Edition or Miller’s Pack. The closed beta will give players a feel for the game’s combat, movement in the zero-g environment, and dealing with life and death on a remote space station.</p><p></p><p>Here’s the official blurb:</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>The beta will allow players to explore a remote space station belonging to their employer Pinkwater Security in the wake of escaping from the catastrophic events on Eros known from the books and TV series, Owlcat said. Along with exploring this new environment, beta players will be able to interact with its inhabitants and experiment with dialogue options and choices. Once the masterminds behind the attack on Eros catch up to them, they will also experience the combat and upgrade mechanics first hand.
