At the time, we learned that the game would be getting a significant visual overhaul with new screen effects, pixel sprites, and environment art. All character portraits have been updated in HD, and the portraits in the first game have been newly redrawn. There are additional improvements to sound and small feature improvements, including a dialogue log.</p><p></p><p>Almost exactly a year ago, <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/suikoden-i-ii-hd-remaster-gate-rune-and-dunan-unification-wars-delayed" target="_blank">Konami delayed the collection</a>, only saying that additional time was needed to ensure quality.
