Following Kevin Conroy's death in 2022, it's been widely assumed the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League would mark the last time we heard the actor reprise his famous role as the Caped Crusader. But, while Kill the Justice League is indeed his final video game voice appearance as the character, he has two other posthumous performances coming up in Batman film and television, IGN has learned from a source with knowledge of the situation. One of them will be in Bruce Timm's Batman: Caped Crusader, an upcoming animated series that was picked up by Prime Video. While we've confirmed that Conroy did record for the show before his death, we're not entirely sure if he'll be voicing Batman specifically. The other, however - Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part Three - will indeed have Conroy reprising Bruce Wayne/Batman from Batman: The Animated Series. The first part of the Crisis on Infinite Earths trilogy was released earlier this month, and we're still awaiting release dates for Parts 2 and 3. Conroy's publicist declined to comment. IGN has reached out to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, which is distributing the Crisis on Infinite Earths trilogy, for comment. Conroy, of course, is beloved for his performance as Batman both in The Animated Series and the Arkham series of video games. With that in mind, a bit of contorversy arose in regards to one of his scenes in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which was just released in Early Access. We won't spoil the specific details (you can learn more here), but one scene had many fans feeling that it was an unceremonious goodbye to Conroy's time as Batman. While, as mentioned, Kill the Justice League marks his final appearance as Arkham Batman, we have at least one Conroy Batman reprisal to look forward to yet. Alex Stedman is a Senior News Editor with IGN, overseeing entertainment reporting. When she's not writing or editing, you can find her reading fantasy novels or playing Dungeons & Dragons.
