Sony has announced the PlayStation Plus Monthly games lineup for May 2026, which will be headlined by EA Sports FC 26. Soulslike action RPG Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is also among the three new titles offered for subscribers, as is indie Metroidvania Nine Sols. All three will become available to download next week, on Tuesday, May 5. EA Sports FC 26 is, of course, the former FIFA franchise's latest entry. Released last September, it provides the usual roster of modes (including Ultimate Team) and a refresh Rivals and Champs experience. Its arrival on PlayStation Plus comes alongside the launch of an "EA Sports FC 26 PlayStation Plus Icons Pack" for subscribers to claim over the next month. In IGN's 7/10-scored EA Sports FC 26 review, we reported that the title's "on-pitch gameplay is the best it's been in a long time, but its overly aggressive Season Pass is also EA at its most money-hungry yet." If you're a Souls fan and are yet to try Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, now's as good as time as any. Starring pirate warrior Wuchang during China's Ming Dynasty, you're tasked with exploring a vast land to investigate why people are mutating into monsters. So far, so video game. But at a time where Souls fans have plenty of options to get their fix, Wuchang has managed to stand out for its flexible character builds and well-built world. "Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is yet another great Soulslike to add to the ever-increasing pile, featuring excellent combat, wonderful level design, an incredible skill tree, and fearsome bosses," IGN wrote in our Wuchang: Fallen Feathers review, which returned an 8/10 score. "Just watch out for some steep difficulty dips and spikes, and a reliance on cheap-feeling 'gotcha!' ambushes." Rounding out Sony's trio of game additions is Nine Sols, a lore rich, hand-drawn 2D action-platformer featuring Sekiro-inspired deflection-focused combat. Launched back in 2024, it also has positive reviews. As Sony giveth, so it taketh away. With the announcement of these games, a reminder that you only have until May 4 to add April's selection — Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered and Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream — to your game library.
