Announced during Sony’s State of Play 2025 with a debut trailer, below, Tides of Annihilation is a single-player, narrative driven action adventure game developed by Eclipse Glow Games. It said Tides of Annihilation blends “intense, breakneck combat, an immersive narrative, and an unforgettable setting.” It takes place in modern day London, which is ravaged by mystical otherworldly forces. You play as Gwendolyn and explore London’s iconic landmarks, calling in spectral Knights of the Round Table in combat, and fighting enemies inspired by the Arthurian mythos. You also get to battle gigantic bosses the size of skyscrapers. Eclipse Glow Games is a new studio based in Chengdu, China, supported by investment from Chinese megacorp Tencent. Eclipse Glow is made up of over 100 developers with previous experience creating games for franchises including Yakuza, For Honor, Assassin’s Creed, Persona, and Prince of Persia. “Debuting Tides of Annihilation at Sony State of Play is an incredible, humbling accomplishment for the Eclipse Glow development team,” said Kun Fu, Lead Game Producer at Eclipse Glow Games. “It’s also just the beginning. We’ve created a world that reimagines Arthurian Legend where themes of courage, loyalty, and heroism intertwine with an epic story set in a strange-yet-familiar setting that will test the mettle of true gamers and push the genre forward.” Here’s the official blurb: Tides of Annihilation launches for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. There's no release date yet.
