Capcom has revealed a Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake, just named Resident Evil Veronica, delighting fans of the franchise watching this year's Summer Game Fest livestream. Footage showed an unnamed female character being shown around a Parisian apartment (though the clue here is she's the sister of someone else here on a secret mission). The footage concludes with the reveal that this is none other than Claire Redfield (sister of Chris) — and this is a reimagined take on the classic Code Veronica story. Veronica will launch in 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. While great news for Resident Evil fans, the announcement does not come as too much of a surprise. Previous reporting had pinned a Code Veronica remake for a 2027 release, and tipped its reveal as taking place this year following the launch of Resident Evil: Requiem.
