The success of Resident Evil Requiem means Capcom is raising its earning forecast for the year. In a newly-released financial statement, the Resident Evil publisher said that Requiem's huge sales (now up to 7 million copies and climbing) had contributed to "net sales, operating profit, ordinary profit and net profit" that all "outperform our previously announced foreast." Capcom also said it had seen unexpected growth in sales of older titles, which had also contributed to its outsized sales performance. The past year has notably seen Capcom supporting Monster Hunter Wilds and Street Fighter 6 with further content. The company now expects net sales of 195.3 billion yen (around $1.2 billion), up around 3% from its previous forecast for the 12 months ending March 31, 2026. It also now expects net profit of 54.5 billion yen net profit ($320 million), up 6.9% from its previous forecast. "In our core Digital Contents business, in addition to Resident Evil Requiem (the latest title in the Resident Evil series that was released in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026) being met with broad acclaim globally, sales grew for catalog titles from major series due to their steady popularity," Capcom wrote. "Additionally, Arcade Operations, Amusement Equipments, and Other Businesses all performed favorably." Requiem has been breaking sales records for the franchise since its release, when it shifted a stunning 5 million copies in just five days — making it the fastest-selling Resident Evil game in the whole franchise Happily, fans still have plenty more to come from the game, including next month’s mysterious content update that players expect will add a new version of the franchise’s The Mercenaries mode — especially after datamine leak revealed tense new music.
