Pixel Art JRPG SacriFire Will Launch on PC Next Year – IGN Expo 2022

Developer Pixelated Millk has announced that its upcoming action JRPG, SacriFire, will release on PC in 2023. Console releases will follow later.

Revealed as part of IGN Expo, the news of a 2023 release came accompanied by a brand new trailer that shows off three of the game's vibrant locations. First up is Ivanstone, one of SacriFire's hub locations, which is located in the underground city of Antioch. The trailer then showcases Erebus, a forest haunted by the spirits of both the living and dead. Finally, we're shown Bohemond's Office, a room where missions are assigned to protagonist Ezekiel.

SacriFire is described as "Vagrant's Story meets Octopath Traveler", and will see Ezekiel explore the worlds of Antioch and Erebus, two very different lands with different stories. Those locations are realised through a combination of hand-drawn pixel art characters and 3D backdrops, which lends SacriFire its own distinct look. Dungeons full of hellhounds, imps, lemures, and more set the stage for a battle system that weaves together elements of turn based and real-time combat. Ezekiel's DIVOS gauntlet can transform into six different weapons, which can influence fighting styles alongside your companions.
