Dixon for his thoughts on how horror production company Blumhouse will translate Phasmophobia's genre-defining gameplay to the big screen.</p><p></p><p>While you would be forgiven for presuming this adaptation could end up feeling like any old ghosthunting film, Dixon is clear: this will be very much a "Phasmophobia film" that "fans will want to watch."</p><p></p><p></p><p>"We've got a really good partnership with Blumhouse. It's brilliant," Dixon said. "It will be a Phasmophobia film, it won't just be a ghost hunting film — we're going to make sure it's a film that fans want to watch, and we're going to work with them really closely.</p><p></p><p>"They're really willing to work with us, and, obviously, we want to work with them," he added. "So yeah, we've got a really good partnership, and I think fans are going to love it when it comes."</p><p></p><p>We found out Kinetic Games' terrifying ghost investigation game, Phasmophobia, <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/horror-hit-phasmophobia-the-next-game-to-get-a-hollywood-movie-adaptation-from-blumhouse" target="_blank"><u>is getting the Hollywood treatment last month</u></a>. Horror specialist <a href="https://www.ign.com/movies/producer/blumhouse-productions" target="_blank"><u>Blumhouse</u></a> — the credits of which include <a href="https://www.ign.com/movies/five-nights-at-freddys" target="_blank"><u>Five Nights at Freddy's,</u></a> <a href="https://www.ign.com/movies/the-conjuring" target="_blank"><u>The Conjuring</u></a>, and <a href="https://www.ign.com/movies/m3gan" target="_blank"><u>M3gan</u></a> — has partnered with the UK developer to create a feature film adaptation.
