Overwatch 2 Beta Gets Release Date, Sign-Ups Open June 16

Since then, Blizzard has announced that the <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/overwatch-2-pvp-release-date-free-to-play" target="_blank">PvP portion of Overwatch 2 will release into early access on October 4</a> and that it will be free-to-play.</p><p></p><p></p><p>In development for several years now, Overwatch 2 has gone through several major changes, the most notable of them being the decision to <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/overwatch-2-pvp-pve-separate-release-beta-april" target="_blank">release the game's PvP and PvE sections separately</a>. Overwatch 2 is also reconfiguring team compositions to be 5v5 instead of 6v6 while also retooling its existing roster of heroes.</p><p></p><p>Lots more Overwatch 2 info will be revealed during the game's showcase event on June 16.
