We just got a brand new trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor at The Game Awards that has confirmed its previously leaked March release, narrowing it down to March 17, 2023. The trailer focuses on the returning hero Cal Kestis, who in the five year interim between Fallen Order and Survivor has become a stronger, more powerful Jedi Knight. He shows off multiple new Force and lightsaber abilities, including appearing to dual wield lightsabers as well as assembling a lightsaber that looks more like a claymore. At one point he seems to partner with multiple mounts that allow him to travel across both ground and air quickly. Cal is also sporting a new look and has ditched his tunic, and he's not the only one. His former crew member Cere makes an appearance, and while she no longer appears to be traveling with Cal, she's fully embraced the powerful Jedi vibes she reclaimed in Fallen Order in her new outfit and style. While Cal no longer has his old crew, he's still exploring the galaxy with BD-1, and he also is joined by a new friend, Bode Akuna (played by Noshir Dalal). Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will cost $69.99 at launch across Xbox, PS5, and PC when it launches on March 17. We previously got a look at some brand new key art featuring Cal's new look when it was teased for The Game Awards earlier this week. Rebekah Valentine is a news reporter for IGN. You can find her on Twitter @duckvalentine. Continue reading...
