A new Knights of the Old Republic patch for Nintendo Switch has fixed the game's giant and rather obnoxious text boxes. Per a press release, the game's latest Nintendo Switch update will fix a number of issues - including its oversized combat message boxes that have frustrated fans since the game's launch last year. For those unaware of the issue, it would present problems for fans during turn-based combat sequences in the classic action-RPG. When in fights, players would see almost a quarter of their screen filled with a massive text box, which was mostly blank space. KOTOR developer Aspyr noted on Twitter last month that it was set to fix the issue during an upcoming patch. While that might be the most notable change from the game's most recent patch, Aspyr has also made a number of other tweaks to the game, including fixing issues with absent NPC voice lines, an error causing incorrect button icons to appear during tutorial prompts, and a bug causing the colours for the game's full alignment icons to be swapped. In addition to fixing a number of problems with KOTOR, fans playing on the Nintendo Switch should also note that a number of cheats have now been added to the game. In order to access the cheats you'll need to click the left stick three times, at which point, you'll have access to a range of power-ups such as turbo speed, the ability to create items, and give your character additional experience. In other recent Star Wars news, EA recently announced that it is in the process of making three new Star Wars games, all of which are being overseen in one form or another by developer Respawn Entertainment. Across the three games, fans should expect to see a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a brand new Star Wars first-person shooter, and a strategy game.
