Activision Blizzard is currently facing serious ongoing allegations of harassment and mistreatment of marginalized workers. To learn more, please visit our timeline as well as our in-depth report on the subject. Call of Duty: Warzone's upcoming Battle Royale map Caldera seems to include a fresh take on a fan-favourite multiplayer map, Shipment. As spotted by @ModernWarzone on Twitter, recently revealed footage of Call of Duty: Warzone's upcoming Pacific-based map Caldera seems to include a portion of the map modeled from the popular close-quarters map Shipment. As seen in the tweet above, the area similar to Shipment in Caldera brings a slightly new take to the multiplayer map, while also closely resembling its format in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019). Shipment has been a prominent map in a number of Call of Duty titles since first making its debut in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare back in 2007. Its most recent appearance came with a fresh coat of WW2 paint in a free update to Call of Duty: Vanguard. The inclusion of Shipment in Caldera makes for interesting speculation. Typically, the map is known for its small size, tight corners, and close gunfights - a factor that has been popular with players as it allows them to quickly rank up weapons and unlock new gear. In Caldera, this will likely be quite different. While its large shipping containers and narrow lanes may lead to some similar close-quarters play, the map is now situated as one small point within a far larger area. From the images above, the rooftops and open spaces surrounding the container area are likely to allow oppositional players to engage those moving through the area from a medium to long-range distance bringing a whole new perspective to the Shipment area. The apparent reveal of a Shipment-based area within Caldera comes following a slew of new information about Caldera from Activision on the game. New intel on the map confirmed that Caldera will have 15 different drop zones, feature over 200 points of interest, and be similar in size to its predecessor (Verdansk). Those hoping to check out the new areas can do so from December 9 - though players who own Call of Duty: Vanguard are set to be able to enter the game 24 hours in advance from December 8.
