Other characters revealed ahead of Mortal Kombat 1's Sept. 14 release date include returning players <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/mortal-kombat-1-adds-reptile-ashrah-and-havik-as-new-fighters-at-evo-2023" target="_blank">Reptile</a>, <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/mortal-kombat-1-reveals-geras-awesome-new-liu-kang-fatality-and-teases-a-character-nobody-recognises" target="_blank">Geras</a>, <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/mortal-kombat-1-trailer-adds-a-host-of-returning-characters-to-its-roster" target="_blank">Sektor, Frost, Scorpion</a>, Li Mei, Liu Kang, Mileena, Quan Chi, Smoke, and Sub-Zero along with confirmation that <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/mortal-kombat-1-homelander-peacemaker" target="_blank">Homelander, Peacemaker, and Omni-Man</a> are joining the roster as the first wave of DLC characters.</p><p></p><p>The pre-order beta for Mortal Kombat 1 officially went live <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/mortal-kombat-1-pre-order-beta-johnny-cage-ps5-xbox" target="_blank">for Xbox and PS5 on Friday</a> and ended on Monday.
