The collection will include Metal Gear Solid as well as the first three games. It is set to release in Fall 2023, and platforms are to be confirmed.</p><p></p><p>Metal Gear Solid Δ and Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection will mark the extended series’ return to modern consoles after a lengthy absence. The original Snake Eater was released in North America in 2004 and subsequently remastered, but Kojima’s well-publicized break with Konami led to a lengthy hiatus for the series proper. Its last major release was Metal Gear Solid Survive, which launched to middling reviews in 2018.</p><p></p><p>The original Snake Eater follows an agent codenamed Naked Snake as he searches for his mentor, who has seemingly defected to the Soviet Union in the midst of the Cold War. <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/the-best-100-video-games-of-all-time" target="_blank">It won praise for its story, mechanics, and unique boss battles</a>, many of which remain famous to this day.
