IGN’s <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/kunitsu-gami-path-of-the-goddess-review" target="_blank">Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess review</a> returned an 8/10. We said: “Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a fascinatingly fun action-strategy hybrid with unique gameplay and impressive art design.”</p><p></p><p></p><p>According to Capcom, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess struggled due to insufficient marketing and a failure to generate buzz prior to launch. There’s no mention of an impact on sales as a result of the Game Pass launch (some have suggested launching straight into Microsoft’s subscription service may have limited sales).</p><p></p><p>It doesn’t sound like Capcom is giving up on Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess however, with plans to continue to promote the game with the aim of eventually achieving its target.</p><p></p><p>While Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess hasn’t done as well as Capcom hoped, the company’s other recently released games have met expectations. That includes the <a href="https://www.ign.com/games/dead-rising-deluxe-remaster" target="_blank">Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster</a>, <a href="https://www.ign.com/games/ace-attorney-investigations-collection" target="_blank">Ace Attorney Investigations Collection</a>, and <a href="https://www.ign.com/games/marvel-vs-capcom-fighting-collection-arcade-classics" target="_blank">Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics</a>.</p><p></p><p>There’s a lot riding on <a href="https://www.ign.com/games/monster-hunter-wilds" target="_blank">Monster Hunter Wilds</a>, the next mainline entry in Capcom’s mega franchise, and <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/monster-hunter-wilds-beta-is-off-to-a-wild-start-on-steam" target="_blank">early indications are that it will be a big hit</a> when it launches in February 2025.</p><p></p><p></p><p><em>Wesley is the UK News Editor for IGN.
