Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game Gets June Release Date | IGN Fan Fest 2024

Asymmetrical multiplayer fans looking to add another game from the genre into their rotation will be happy to know that the video game adaption of Killer Klowns from Outer Space will arrive this June.

As part of our suite of IGN Fan Fest announcements, publisher IllFonic has provided a new trailer, which you can check out below, for Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game, along with a confirmation that it will arrive on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox on June 4.

As previously confirmed, the video game adaptation of Killer Klowns from Outer Space is an asymmetrical multiplayer game. As you can see from today's trailer, it provides the suspense and tension typical in other games in the genre, most notably Dead by Daylight. But the humor and goofiness that was found in the film it's based on.

Announced at Gamescom 2022, Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game is based on the 1988 movie of the same name. Players will team up to fight off an extraterrestrial threat: Killer Klowns that are invading Earth and trying to harvest humans.

The game is being developed by Teravision, with Randy Greenback, who previously served as the executive director for Friday the 13th: The Game, attached to the project.

In our previous coverage for the game, we exclusively revealed the five playable Klowns: The Game: Trapster, Tracker, Scout, Fighter, and Tank. Each one has skills that cater to different playstyles. If you want to learn more about the fame, check out our interview with Greenback a couple of years ago.
