I've Never Understood the Point of Themed microSD Cards, But the Sonic Collection Is on Sale for Prime Day 2025

Hardly befitting of an Echidna, but yours for $17.99.</p><p></p><p>Thankfully, <a href="https://zdcs.link/91jO5n" target="_blank"><u>Tails adorns the 256GB microSD card</u></a> and gets a small discount, meaning you can double your ‘Knuckles storage’ for an extra $2.</p><p></p><p>Next up, the <a href="https://zdcs.link/9YW82n" target="_blank"><u>Blue Blur himself offers 512GB</u></a> at a very reasonable $29.99, thanks to a 30% discount, before <a href="https://zdcs.link/av4voq" target="_blank"><u>Shadow rounds out the lineup with 1TB at $69.99</u></a>.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>Not fussed by Team Sonic? SanDisk undercuts Samsung’s Tails-branded option <a href="https://zdcs.link/znxv23" target="_blank"><u>with a $16.99 card</u></a>, and <a href="https://zdcs.link/QGgw7q" target="_blank"><u>Sonic’s version with a $29.99 512GB card</u></a>. But, these are A2 cards, so the speeds won't be anywhere near as good for <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/best-steam-deck-sd-cards" target="_blank">Steam Deck</a>.</p><p></p><p>Whichever option you pick, it’s worth noting that these won’t work on your brand-new <a href="https://www.ign.com/tech/nintendo-switch-2" target="_blank"><u>Switch 2</u></a>, sadly. Nintendo’s latest console <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/the-best-microsd-express-cards-for-nintendo-switch-2" target="_blank"><u>requires microSD Express cards</u></a>, which are faster (and more expensive). They’re also not discounted because they’re fresh on the market, and in hot demand thanks to Nintendo.</p><p></p><p>Still, Team Sonic (or, uh, Team SanDisk?) can help with other portable consoles.
