In Mortal Kombat 1, a Quitality Is a Real Pain in the Neck

In <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/2019/04/22/mortal-kombat-11-review" target="_blank">Mortal Kombat 11</a>, the quitter would either end up impaled on a giant rock spike or explode.</p><p></p><p>In Mortal Kombat 1, however, a Quitality comes with a twist... of the player’s neck. Rather than explode or fall on spikes, the offending character now breaks their own neck in a speedy and dramatic animation. This being an online stress test there is little at stake when it comes to competitive Mortal Kombat 1, but that hasn’t stopped players from quitting matches. Mortal Kombat 1 is set to be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC on September 19, 2023, and <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/mortal-kombat-12-revealed-as-mortal-kombat-1" target="_blank"><u>it serves as the start of a new Mortal Kombat Universe</u></a> that was created by the Fire God Liu Kang.
