The upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, whose September 9 release date is on the horizon, will likely be one of the stars of the show. Space Marine 2 puts you back in the boots of Lieutenant Titus, and last year’s show gave us<a href="https://www.ign.com/videos/warhammer-40000-space-marine-2-official-skulls-showcase-gameplay-trailer" target="_blank"> <u>a glimpse of some of the intense action gameplay</u></a> we can expect. This year is shaping up to give us even more.</p><p></p><p>On the released game side of things, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader came out in December, making now a prime time for updates or new info. The epic isometric RPG emphasized player decisions and character alignment, and it was<a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/warhammer-40000-rogue-trader-review" target="_blank"> <u>a hit with our IGN reviewer</u></a> thanks to excellent writing and combat.</p><p></p><p>With Kohli back as host, you know there will also be updates about Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. The retro-styled FPS, which starred Kohli as the voice of protagonist Malum Caedo, was clearly inspired by iconic shooters of the past, with a<a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/warhammer-40000-boltgun-is-an-fps-that-parties-like-its-1996" target="_blank"> <u>design and art style that was a love letter to the ’90s</u></a>. Boltgun was released just days before last year’s showcase, so what reveals could be waiting this year?</p><p></p><p>That’s just scratching the surface of what could be featured. There should also be news and reveals for Total War: Warhammer, Blood Bowl 3, Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus, and more. Plus, the May 23 showcase only marks the start of Warhammer Skulls. The celebration will last one week, with special discounts and freebies offered.
