GTA 6 Fan Unearths What May Be In-Game Websites, Sparking Speculation About What They Mean

Some fans suggest they're likely URLs for in-game sites that fans can visit IRL as well as in-game.</p><p></p><p>"I came across some domains all registered on May 27 under Take-Two's nameservers that seem to be VI-related," explained Tez2 on the <a href="https://gtaforums.com/topic/1002286-gta-vi-general-speculation-discussion-vice-city-baby/page/51/#comment-1072587065" target="_blank"><u>GTA forums</u></a>. "These domains could be in-game sites that [Rockstar] may redirect to VI's page later on, like what we've seen with IV and V. Mp412rex <a href="https://gtaforums.com/topic/1002286-gta-vi-general-speculation-discussion-vice-city-baby/?do=findComment&comment=1072587067" target="_blank">reckons</a> What Up could be an in-game version of WhatsApp, RydeMe could be Uber/Lyft, BuckMe could pertain to a Patreon-like site, and Leonidagov.org is likely a fake government site. The rest are a complete mystery, with one… well, let's just say at least one is likely very much what it says on the tin and move on. For now, though, they'll remain a mystery — as yet none of them point to a site, I'm afraid.</p><p></p><p></p><p>It follows a similar pattern to <a href="https://www.ign.com/games/grand-theft-auto-v" target="_blank"><u>GTA V</u></a>, <a href="https://gtaforums.com/topic/470559-gta-v-leak-topic/" target="_blank"><u>which similarly hosted parody or fake sites years before its release</u></a> way back in 2013.</p><p></p><p>Wondering how long Grand Theft Auto 6 has been in development for? Development on the game began “in earnest” in 2020 following the success of <a href="https://www.ign.com/games/red-dead-redemption-2" target="_blank"><u>Red Dead Redemption 2</u></a>, Take-Two said in its financial report in May — its first since the <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/gta-6-delayed-to-may-2026" target="_blank"><u>high-profile delay to GTA 6 from fall 2025 to May 26, 2026</u></a>.
