Along with its new late-summer release date, today’s trailer tells fans they’ll soon be able to check out a demo ahead of its full launch for PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, and Game Pass.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Blumhouse Games, an offshoot of Jason Blum’s horror movie production company that is focused on interactive entertainment, <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/blumhouse-games-reveals-first-project-revealed-summer-games-fest" target="_blank"><u>announced</u></a> Grave Seasons alongside a collection of other new video games in June 2024. Where other farming sims might let players loose in tiny towns filled with cute characters, Perfect Garbage’s pixelated horror game takes a trip to the fictional Ashenridge to ask a different question: What if one of the villagers was a serial killer?</p><p></p><p>“After a treacherous escape from jail, you’ve made it to your new home in Ashenridge, an idyllic town with some seriously unsettling vibes,” an official summary says. “While trying to establish your new farming life and embed yourself in the neighborhood, murders start to occur in the town, putting your new peaceful life at risk.”</p><p></p><p>We got a chance to see how Grave Seasons mixes familiar farming gameplay with the supernatural in <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/grave-seasons-is-a-cozy-farming-sim-with-a-dark-side" target="_blank"><u>a hands-on preview</u></a> last summer. We walked away looking forward to its blend of mystery and cozy gameplay.</p><p></p><p></p><p>“Grave Seasons promises to inject something sinister into the farming sim genre with a compelling horror-mystery that seems on track to deliver personality, fright, and charm in spades,” we said in our preview. “I’m interested to see and learn more about Grave Seasons’ community of charming townsfolk and the secrets lurking underneath Ashenridge’s small-town veneer when it ships on PC and consoles sometime next year.”</p><p></p><p>Grave Seasons now has an August release date for PC and consoles.
