Gotham Knights: PS4 and Xbox One Versions Cancelled

No specific reasoning was given, other than to say that it would "provide players with the best possible gameplay experience."</p><p></p><p>After <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/gotham-knights-delayed-to-2022" target="_blank">a delay</a>, the <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/gotham-knights-release-date-2022" target="_blank">game will arrive on October 25</a> for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store) only.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Gotham Knights comes from Batman: Arkham Origins developer WB Montreal, and allow players to take on the roles of <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/batman-gotham-knights-co-op-characters-detailed" target="_blank">Red Hood, Nightwing, Robin, and Batgirl</a> in a version of Gotham where <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/batman-gotham-knights-why-dead" target="_blank">Batman has seemingly been killed</a>.</p><p></p><p>It will be <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/gotham-knights-combat-system-has-been-entirely-redesigned-with-a-focus-on-co-op" target="_blank">set in a separate universe from the Arkham games,</a> and features a <a href="https://www.ign.com/videos/gotham-knights-batman-arkhams-combat-system-entirely-redesigned-with-a-focus-on-co-op" target="_blank">combat system specifically designed for co-op.</a> There have been some rumours of a switch from the previously announced 2-player co-op to a full 4-players in the game, but the new trailer seems to disavow that idea.</p><p></p><p></p><p><em>Joe Skrebels is IGN's Executive Editor of News.
