IGN can exclusively reveal a brand-new gameplay trailer for Garfield - Escape From Monday, and it teases the terror of "The Curse of the Spinach Lasagna" and that vegetables may not be as good for us we once thought! Garfield - Escape From Monday's latest trailer starts nice enough with Garfield in a dream surrounded by his favorite junk food. However, things quickly take a sinister turn as it becomes a nightmare filled with vegetables. As it turns out, Jon had fed Garfield spinach lasagna inspired by Chef Monday's recipe, and he's now in a deep sleep and trapped in this terrifying yet healthy dreamland. Luckily, Jon, Odie, Arlene, and Pookie will be there to help him, but he'll still have to be on the lookout for Nermal, Squeak, and plenty of other enemies. He'll also have access to three special costumes that each have a unique ability, including the Turkey outfit that can help him go airborne, the Surfer outfit that lets him glide on the water, and the Cowboy outfit that comes with a lasso he can use to swing around. Garfield - Escape From Monday will feature three worlds and over 40 levels, and it promises to be a fun 3D platforming adventure that will pay homage to Garfield creator Jim Davis, and you can even see what looks like some of his art in the picture frames in the trailer! Developed by OSome Studio, Garfield - Escape From Monday will be released on September 24, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. [I]Adam Bankhurst is a writer for IGN.
