Developer FromSoftware didn't help the situation by <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/elden-ring-new-patch-nerfs-popular-way-to-beat-malenia-swarm-of-flies" target="_blank">removing a popular way to defeat her,</a> and <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/elden-rings-malenia-battle-is-bugged-and-its-terrifying" target="_blank">a glitch made her ridiculously overpowered</a>.</p><p></p><p>Other mods have even pitted <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/elqen-ring-malenia-against-every-other-boss" target="_blank">Malenia against every other boss in the game</a> (and it didn't end well for most of them) and also <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/elden-ring-mod-every-enemy-malenia" target="_blank">turned every enemy in the game into Malenia</a>.</p><p></p><p>To balance the universe, however, a hero emerged to put Malenia in her place.
