More than 19,600 backers supported Crowsworn during its initial campaign in July 2021, with its final tally bringing in CA $1,258,068. It was a crowdfunding initiative that saw backers turning up to support its mix of Devil May Cry, Hollow Knight, and Bloodborne combat, with its <a href="https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mongooserodeo/crowsworn-a-dark-and-mysterious-action-packed-metroidvania/posts/3243944" target="_blank"><u>base goal reached less than three hours after the campaign launched</u></a>.</p><p></p><p></p><p>“A dark curse has befallen the land of Fearanndal, a once vibrant kingdom,” an official story summary for Crowsworn says. “All but the last remnants of humanity have seemingly vanished, as the world is overrun by sightless creatures of nightmare.”</p><p></p><p>Kickstarter backers have received exclusive updates every few months for the last few years, but for everyone else, today’s Xbox Partner Preview gameplay trailer and platform commitment represent what may be Mongoose Rodeo’s most substantial showing in quite some time.
