CD Projekt 'Definitely' Planning More Cyberpunk 2077 Animation Projects

"So expect to see more for sure, but that's as far as I can go right now."</p><p></p><p>Cyberpunk Edgerunners premiered in September 2022 to high praise from fans and critics. even sparking in a resurgence in Cyberpunk 2077 that saw <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/cyberpunk-2077-sees-highest-player-numbers-since-launch-edgerunners" target="_blank">upwards of one million players jumping in each day</a>. Fans also became enthralled in its story, <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/cyberpunk-2077-mod-adds-edgerunners-risk-of-turning-cyberpsycho" target="_blank">and added elements like Cyberpsychosis to the game via mods</a>.</p><p></p><p>CD Projekt's Japanese community manager Satoru Honma said in October 2022 that <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/cd-projekt-red-there-are-no-plans-for-cyberpunk-edgerunners-season-2" target="_blank">there are no plans to continue the show</a>, saying Edgerunners was intended to be a standalone work.
