And yes, it’s fully verified on the <a href="https://www.ign.com/tech/steam-deck" target="_blank"><u>Steam Deck</u></a> for an on-the-go, handheld RPG experience.</p><p></p><p>The original game was released in 2004 on PS2 and Xbox, three years after the first. In our <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/2004/01/21/baldurs-gate-dark-alliance-ii-3" target="_blank"><u>review</u></a> we gave it an 8.4 out of 10. We said “this game is easy to pick up, easy to play, and a great excuse for wading through legions of monsters by yourself or with a friend.”</p><p></p><p>This updated version, like the original, will include five playable characters and classes to play across 80 levels. <a href="https://www.ign.com/games/baldurs-gate-dark-alliance-ii" target="_blank"><u>Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II</u></a> also features a fully voice acted cast and four difficulty levels.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Last May, developer Black Isle Studios said a <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/baldurs-gate-dark-alliance-2-could-also-get-a-re-release" target="_blank"><u>rerelease was on the table</u></a> after the success of the surprise release of an enhanced version of the first game, <a href="https://www.ign.com/games/baldurs-gate-dark-alliance" target="_blank"><u>Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance</u></a>.</p><p></p><p>At this time, there is no word on a release date other than sometime this summer.
