Dubbed "lock-on technology" by Sega, the general idea was to pop the top on this adapter and slap on either a <strong>Sonic 3</strong> or <strong>Sonic 2</strong> cartridge to inject a playable Knuckles the Echidna in. With Sonic 2, that meant ol' mate punchy could be used to wall-climb and inexplicably glide in the usual level layouts.</p><p></p><p>In Sonic 3, however, the changes were more profound (think: tweaked level routes, a new "Super Emerald" collection layer, and the chance to unlock Hyper Sonic/Knuckles/Tails with a True Ending). To my eye, "Performance" and "Quality" modes in Alan Wake 2 have witnessed Pro Enhancement, with the former seeing obvious benefits from a higher output resolution as well as improved graphical detail over the PS5 version (noted in more convincing shadows, lusher foliage, and similar details). To my eye, "Performance" and "Quality" modes in Alan Wake 2 have witnessed Pro Enhancement, with the former seeing obvious benefits from a higher output resolution as well as improved graphical detail over the PS5 version (noted in more convincing shadows, lusher foliage, and similar details). Obviously, both modes work under the new PSSR solution, but I appreciated the (sadly only 30 fps) Quality mode with its better image stability and quality, fog, volumetric lighting, and shadow accuracy.
