ARC Raiders Finally Arriving in 2025, Playtesting to Begin This Fall | gamescom 2024

Shortly after, however, the studio delayed the game to 2023. <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/arc-raiders-has-changed-from-a-co-op-pve-game-to-a-pvpve-survival-extraction-shooter" target="_blank">It was also revealed in 2023</a> that the game had shifted from a co-op PvP game to a "PvPvE survival extraction shooter."</p><p></p><p>The game made quite an impression with its reveal trailer, introducing a vibrant sci-fi world. Today's trailer shows off a bit more of that, although not too much else.</p><p></p><p>Aleksander Grøndal, ARC Raiders' executive producer, shared an excerpt of ARC Raiders' lore in a 2023 <a href="https://medium.com/embarkstudios/whats-next-for-arc-raiders-fa9586281e0c" target="_blank">Medium post</a>, giving us some idea of what the upcoming game will focus on:</p><p></p><p>"People have fled to the underground colony of Speranza, seeking supplies to survive, and shelter from the machines," the text read. "Demand for resources is at an all-time high. But getting those resources is a risky job, and it isn’t for everyone. But it is a job for you. That’s why you’ve enlisted as a Raider, scavenging for vital supplies that are scattered across the landscape.
