Amazon Games Adds the Long-Delayed Throne and Liberty to Its Lineup

The last year has taught us a great deal about publishing and managing a successful live-service game on a global scale, and we’re ready to bring Throne and Liberty players an incredible experience at launch," Harmann said in a statement.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Throne and Liberty has been through several closed betas over the years while suffering multiple delays. It wil combine "story-driven adventure and action combat" with "constantly shifting geographical and environmental features that change the course of play," and will feature both large-scale PvP and PvE combat.</p><p></p><p>Outside of Throne and Liberty, Amazon Games is also publishing <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/amazon-to-support-and-publish-new-tomb-raider-with-crystal-dynamics" target="_blank">Crystal Dynamics' next Tomb Raider game</a> as well as <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/blue-protocol-will-be-released-in-north-america-courtesy-of-amazon-games" target="_blank">Bandai Namco Online's Blue Protocol</a>. It's part of an overall drive to make the retail giant an established competitor in the gaming market.</p><p></p><p>Throne and Liberty was previously rumored to be on track for a release in the first half of 2023.
