Hey, sorry if this is the wrong thread to post this in, but Tanja wanted me to post about it asap. Currently, creeper and TNT explosions are disabled in the nether and overworld to prevent landscape damage. However, I recently discovered that using a BED in the NETHER will cause an explosion that WILL damage blocks. This explosion radius is similar to, if not the same as one caused by TNT. The bed is detonated by clicking on it as if going to sleep. Instead of entering the sleeping animation, the bed simply explodes. This can (probably) kill an unarmored player, but it only slightly damages one with armor. Obviously, this only works on wilderness or land that you own, since you need to place the bed in the first place. I would like to hear an admin's take on this issue's legality, as arguably the nether is an ugly place to start with, and Ghasts already blow up things if someone comes near. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
