Foobar2000 Crashes on Library Scan
Seems to happen when adding hundreds of thousands of files at once, split in to smaller folders and/or only add parts of the library at a time.
Media Keys/Keyboard Keys
Media keys do not work natively, simulate them by making the following four scripts.
#!/usr/bin/dash WINEDEBUG=-all PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=170 STAGING_WRITECOPY=1 STAGING_SHARED_MEMORY=1 /usr/bin/wine "/home/user/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/foobar2000/foobar2000.exe" "/next"
#!/usr/bin/dash PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=50 STAGING_WRITECOPY=1 STAGING_SHARED_MEMORY=1 WINEDEBUG=-all /usr/bin/wine "/home/user/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/foobar2000/foobar2000.exe" "/playpause"
#!/usr/bin/dash WINEDEBUG=-all PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=170 STAGING_WRITECOPY=1 STAGING_SHARED_MEMORY=1 /usr/bin/wine "/home/user/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/foobar2000/foobar2000.exe" "/prev"
#!/usr/bin/dash PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=50 STAGING_WRITECOPY=1 STAGING_SHARED_MEMORY=1 WINEDEBUG=-all /usr/bin/wine "/home/user/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/foobar2000/foobar2000.exe"
In KDE System Settings
- Press keyboard on the left hand side
- Press shortcuts
- Press Add New => Command or Script
- Press the choose button and find the scripts made above. Pick any name you like and press Add.

Press the Add button and press the keyboard key you want. The same process can be used to make keyboard macros.
