Company of Heroes and it's subsequent expansion pack, Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts, is a pretty cool story bro strategy game made a few years ago. Aside from the almost ridiculous detail put into the game (I'll get into that in a second), it is really fun and quite easy once you know how to play.

In Company of Heroes, you have choices of playing the US Army or the German Wehrmacht.

The US specialize in being able to spam units - one of their primary base buildings allows you to make units take up less population (total amount of units and soldiers you can have alive at one time), so you can get like 10 or more rifle units in play at once (or like 6 tanks, which annihilate stuff in this game). You can choose to specialize in Infantry, Airborne or Vehicular combat.

The Wehrmacht are a semi-perfect representation of mid-to-latewar Germany. You go through 4 "phases", each time unlocking new technologies and becoming stronger. German troops are organized differently but are easier to rush with and generally have a lot of cruel fun being able to specialize in terror tactics and other nasty stuff.

In Opposing fronts, you can play as the Royal Armed Forces, which are Canada, Scotland and England, and the Panzer Elite, which were the guys who we lost to in Operation Market Garden in 1944.

The British forces are able to construct heavy weapon emplacements and artillery, as well as trenches. They have the unique ability of having their base being able to pack up and drive around (lol). They specialize in artillery, commandos/airborne and hardcore defenses.

The Panzer Elite are a ragtag element of latewar Germany, and while having access to the most fearsome of the German arsenal, they are still "different" to play as. Their soldiers and units are very good at what they do, but aren't good at doing anything else. They require upgrading to become efficient. The Panzer Elite are only really good when using vehicles - more than half of their vehicle selection is based off of one versatile armored car. These guys specialize in being annoying to players who depend a lot on captured territory, elite infantry who can build wicked anti-tank stuff, or actual sneaky anti-tank tanks (and supertanks like the King Tiger).

P.S. - You probably need to move this somewhere. lol.

I meant to ask you for that spare key, Echo. All I need to do is install the latest patch and get online and stuff.

Depending on who you want to play as, it is important as to which you buy. Company of Heroes gives you the US Army and the Wehrmacht (Germans). Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts gives you the British+Canadian army, and the Panzer Elite (German elites who won Operation Market Garden).

You can apparently hit aircraft with a lucky mortar shot, and they can do barrel rolls (after losing a wing) lol.
