The state of affairs straight from Mootykins himself.

SOPA/PIPA has pretty much been defeated. It doesn't stand much chance of passing now in it's current form after the protests/blackouts but imo it's a diversion from the much more dangerous and nefarious ACTA; Anti-Counterfeit Trade Agreement. This is being discussed and passed in secret and loads of countries have already signed up. IT NEEDS MORE AWARENESS.

We need to organise and spread information in the same manner against SOPA.

The United States is slowing slipping away to becoming an illiterate twin of Mexico. SOPA/PIPA was just a stupid facade to try and make what they were already doing seem reasonable to the American people. NDAA was another that is just obscene. NDAA allows the indefinite detention of American citizen without trial, which goes directly against the sixth and eighth amendments in the Constitution. We just marched into Pakistan when we found out Osama was there. We just marched into New Zealand when we found out the head of Megaupload was there.

The saddest part is, Europe is becoming 'MERICA in this case. What I've read (on Wikipedia HARHARHAR), although the EU didn't sign the actual treaty, they say they support it, and will do it. Although recently, a European judge ruled that ISPs monitoring the packets that are going through to their subscribers is illegal (it would be awesome if Echo actually linked to the article again).

Or we could be just foolin' with ya and actually following our own law. I fucking hope it's the latter.
