Spider-Man Remastered is PlayStation Studios' Second Biggest PC Launch Behind God of War

Spider-Man Remastered's PC release has proved successful for Sony, becoming the second biggest PlayStation Studios Steam launch so far, falling only behind God of War.

As reported by Eurogamer, Spider-Man's release on Steam has outperformed Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone, reaching an all-time peak of 66,436 players according to SteamDB. God of War's PC debut saw an all-time peak of 73,529 players, while Zero Dawn and Days Gone achieved 56,557 and 27,450 respectively.

It's a good sign for PlayStation's move into PC publishing. Sony has recently purchased PC porting specialist Nixxes and established a new PlayStation PC label as part of a push to move the company's much-love exclusives to Steam. The company expects to make $300 million from PC games alone in its next fiscal year.

Following in Spider-Man's footsteps is spin-off title Miles Morales, which is expected to be released on PC later this year.

The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection may challenge both Spider-Man and God of War when it arrives on PC later this yearthe Uncharted series had sold 41 million copies on PlayStation alone as of 2017.
