Resident Evil 4 Remake Concept Art Allegedly Leaked By Wesker Voice Actor

DC Douglas, the voice actor known for his portrayal of Resident Evil's Albert Wesker, has allegedly shared confidential concept art for the unannounced Resident Evil 4 remake.

As reported by VGC, the seemingly leaked concept art was shared on Twitter (below). According to tweets by the @BewareCreepyVAs account, the image in question allegedly shows a sketch of the Wesker as he would appear in the Separate Ways section of the remake.

So not only did dc douglas break NDA on live stream by admitting to being wesker in the Separate Ways portion of the new #re4remake , but he also sent out concept art given to him by @CapcomUSA_ @dev1_official #REBHFun #wesker #ResidentEvil pic.twitter.com/BlE6orf3tK

Further tweets from the account go on to claim that others have also stated that Douglas shared images with them. The tweets on the thread allege that Douglas sent the image to a number of people despite knowing that he would be breaking the terms of his NDA in doing so, and asking them not to share it further.

While it's currently unclear whether or not the images shared to the platform depict genuine concept art from the game, it's interesting to note that the actor has since deleted his Twitter account. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Capcom is yet to issue a public statement confirming or denying the authenticity of the images in question.

Rumours surrounding a potential remake of Resident Evil 4 first began early last year. Since then, reports in January suggested that the development of the game may have seen a change in leadership due to internal disagreements over its direction.

According to those reports, the game's original developer M-Two has seen its role in the remake reduced with Resident Evil studio Division 1 said to be now taking lead on the game. This change reportedly came after Capcom and M-Two held different opinions over whether the potential remake should introduce new elements and features to the Resi 4's gameplay.

With no official announcement from Capcom over a remake of Resident Evil 4, fans aren't likely to see a release window for the game before Q4 2022 at the earliest. For more on Resident Evil, make sure to check out this article detailing how Resident Evil Village has shipped over 5 million copies.
