Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Devs Reveal Their Dream Spinoff Game

The developers at Infinity Ward apparently already have a good idea for where they’d take a potential Call of Duty spinoff. In an interview with IGN, Infinity Ward narrative director Jeffrey Negus and Modern Warfare 2 head writer Brian Bloom revealed their idea for a Call of Duty one-off, and it’d focus on a popular character from the series. “Yeah, I’m going to say it. Fallout London: Huge Mod Cuts Characters Based on Queen Elizabeth and King Charles

Fallout: London won’t feature a ghoul-ified Queen Elizabeth after all. The ambitious Fallout 4 mod builds a whole new part of the Fallout universe by recreating a post-apocalyptic London. However, in a new development update, creator Dean Carter confirmed that it’s removing the planned characters based on Queen Elizabeth and King Charles. “We have always maintained that if she was to pass away before the mod was complete we would change it,” said Carter (via The Verge). “Do not expect them in there. Naughty Dog Indicates a Bigger Future for its PC Games

Naughty Dog has said that releasing the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PC is a "transformative pivot point" for the studio, indicating a bigger focus on the platform going forward. Speaking in a blog post, Naughty Dog vice president Christian Gyrling said that, while PlayStation 5 remains the developer's primary platform, putting games on PC allows it to reach a whole new audience. Silent Hill 2 Will Push Your PC to Its Limits

Konami has revealed the system requirements for its newly announced Silent Hill 2 Remake, and running all the recreated horror goodness is going to require a hefty PC setup. As reported by PC Gamer, Silent Hill 2 Remake's Steam page has revealed the recommended system specs demand a GeForce RTX 2080 or AMD Radeon 6800XT graphics card, as well as an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X equivalent processor with 16GB of RAM. Those graphics cards, which were high-end in 2018 and remain strong options, still don't get the game running at its best. Alan Wake Remastered Is Now Available for the Nintendo Switch

Alan Wake Remastered has officially launched for Nintendo Switch, with a special discount available on the Nintendo eShop. The fact that New Tales from the Borderlands exists at all warms my heart, considering that it had to defy the death of Telltale Games to do so. The original 2014 episodic adventure grabbed me with its excellent writing, sharp sense of humor, and likable main characters in Fiona and Rhys. From everything I’d seen up to this point, Gotham Knights appeared to have all the makings of the ambitious, action-packed smash hit that it was clearly intended to be. Silent Hill 2 Remake Has 'Seamless' Gameplay With No Loading Screens

Konami's Silent Hill 2 Remake from Bloober Team won't feature loading screens and instead has seamless gameplay when transitioning to new areas, coming out of cutscenes, and so on. Announced in a PlayStation Blog post, Bloober Team's creative director and lead designer Mateusz Lenart discussed how Silent Hill 2 Remake's PlayStation 5 console exclusivity allowed for some additional features. Silent Hill 2 Remake Announced From Bloober Team, First Look at Pyramid Head

It's official: after months of rumors and speculation, Konami is remaking Silent Hill 2. During today's Silent Hill Transmission event, Konami showcased a three-minute trailer that provided a look at the famously foggy town in 4K. Gotham Knights' System Requirements on PC Are Quite Demanding

Warner Bros. has released the PC specs for Gotham Knights, revealing some pretty demanding system requirements for the upcoming DC action game. Gotham Knights' Steam page now shows that users will need at least a GeForce RTX 2070 graphics card to play on high settings at 60fps, but only at 1080p resolution. For that graphical set up you'll also need a CPU equivalent to or better than an Intel i7-10700K or Ryzen 5 5600X alongside 16GB of RAM. That's a resonably steep demand for 1080p. When something leans too heavily on nostalgia to entertain, it’s often a sign that it can’t stand on its own without praying on your sentimentality. The Last Hero of Nostalgaia, ironically, is at its best when it’s drumming up gags that are funny and clever even removed from its constantly referential concept. This colorfully pixelated world is filled to the brim with little nods to some of the most iconic games of all time in a way that manages to stay fresh through to the end. Hijacking of Popular Minecraft Launcher by Rogue Developer Raises Malware Fears

Members of the Minecraft community using the PolyMC custom launcher are being told to switch to a different launcher after the owner removed contributors from the project in an attempt to “reclaim” PolyMC from people who promote queer and leftist ideology online. Starfield Seems to Include a Throwback to an Infamous Elder Scrolls NPC

It's no surprise that Bethesda is hiding a ton of easter eggs around Starfield's 1,000 planets, and one of them appears to be a reference to its landmark RPG The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Mirror's Edge and Onrush Among the EA Games Shuttering Their Servers Soon

Electronic Arts will shut down online services for several games next year, including Mirror’s Edge, NBA Jam: On Fire Edition, Gatling Gears, and Shank 2. First spotted by Trueachievements, the specific date for the server shutdowns for these games is January 19, 2023. There are two Achievements that will be affected by server closure in NBA Jam: On Fire Edition and they are Arena Noob and Arena Vet, which requires players to earn one and ten Arena medals, respectively.
