MultiVersus Dev Calls Out ‘Threats to Harm’ Following Shutdown Announcement: ‘I Am in Deep Mourning for the Game’

The game director of MultiVersus has called out “threats to harm” developers on the game have received following the announcement of its impending shutdown. Last week, Player First Games announced that Season 5 of the Warner Bros. brawler would be its last, with the MultiVersus servers going dark this May, just one year after it relaunched. Players will still be able to access all earned and purchased content while offline via the local gameplay mode and training mode. Marvel Star Simu Liu Says He's Working to Get Sleeping Dogs a Film Adaptation

The Sleeping Dogs film adaptation, which was confirmed to be cancelled earlier this month, now has a chance of coming back courtesy of Marvel star Simu Liu. As reported by Newsweek, Liu replied to a fan calling for an adaptation of the 2012 game on X/Twitter to say he is trying to get the film off the ground. "Working with the rights holders to bring Sleeping Dogs to the big screen," he said. The adaptation was announced in 2017 with Donnie Yen set to star, but the film disappeared a year later and, just a few weeks ago, Yen himself confirmed it had been scrapped. MultiVersus to Shut Down When Season 5 Concludes in May

Player First Games has announced that MultiVersus Season 5 will be its last, bringing the Warner Bros. platform fighting game to a close May 30, 2025, at 9 a.m. PST. The studio revealed plans to discontinue support for the crossover brawler with a blog post on its website. MultiVersus, which launched May 28 last year, will launch into Season 5 starting next week, February 4, and will continue through its May 2025 end date. Forza Horizon 5 Is Coming to PS5

Xbox's popular racing game Forza Horizon 5 is heading to PlayStation. In a surprise announcement, Playground Games announced that the most recent Forza Horizon game is coming to PS5 this spring. It will be the latest Xbox exclusive heading to the PlayStation console following Bethesda games like Starfield, Sea of Thieves, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Hello Kitty Island Adventure Review

I found a lot of joy in Hello Kitty Island Adventure when I first started playing its closed beta for IGN’s guide, way back before it hit Apple Arcade in 2023. Getting to create my own little Sanrio character and run around a tropical island collecting bits and bobs to gift to my new animal friends was pretty relaxing and fun.
